The writing process of pre-writing, drafting, revising and publishing has helped me to become proficient in my writing. After applying the writing process method, I can break down my writing into manageable chunks and focus on delivering quality material.

I believe that my writing dramatically depends on my attitude, motivation and engagement as I have gathered that the writing process takes these components into account by allowing me to plan my writing and create a publishable, final draft of my work with which I can be satisfied. It addresses my need for a real audience and to take the time to draft and redraft my work.

I have learned many things about the writing process. I’ve learned how to recognize my mistakes by revising texts and that sharing with other writers is rewarding and offers challenges. I’ve identified the high level of experience and the quality writings achieved when following each method, the simplicity of this process and that it takes time and patience to build a well-structured text.

  1. The part of your blog which stood out to me was when you said, “I believe that my writing dramatically depends on my attitude, motivation and engagement.” I also share the same sentiment. When I am given a topic to write about which I don’t like I most times lack enthusiasm which in turn makes the writing process even more difficult for me. Hence, we should give students a wide variety of topics to choose from or even allow students to choose the topic they want to write about for themselves. This will in turn increase students’ motivation to write and enjoy the writing process.

  2. I am happy to see that the writing process has groomed you into a better writer. Most times I see the writing process being manifested in real life. If we don’t plan out what we want to do with our lives we are basically moving blindly. This manifest itself in the writing process, if we don’t plan we will basically be writing blindly.
Planning is one of the most important aspects of the writing process. I am happy that you have now grown into becoming a better writer and I too can attest to this fact.
Keep up the good work, continue to follow the process and I assure you that one day soon we will become masters in the field of writing.
